WELCOME TO OUR NEW BLOG & WEBSITE!!

Hi, and welcome to our blog. I’m Hannah the Principal at HDH Dance and each month I will be writing a blog to keep you up to date with what we have been up too! 

How do you like our new website? We hope you like it and have managed to get the information you need about our school! 

What have we been up too?

We have been working really hard in classes, whilst having so much fun along the way! 

Mini Ballet-we have welcomed the cutest new faces to our Mini Ballet classes, they are really getting the hang of their routines now, following instructions really well and creating movements with props. They have even started their first show routine for 2025! 

Acro-Acro have been working hard on new skills for their show routines. From forwards rolls to back handsprings we have had it all going on! Dancers are really starting to build confidence now and move onto those more advanced skills. 

Contemporary 

Mini Contemporary are working on their technique, opening up their creative side with the use of props and have almost completed their first show routine! They are really stepping into the princess role for their show number, we won’t spill anymore tea-you will see on show night! Whilst our seniors have been learning their moves for a mama Mia mash up! This number is not to be missed, from group to partner work, technique to creativity this group have it all going on and we’re really proud of them. As a class they are really beginning to bond which is beautiful to see 

Street 

Mini streets technique is really starting to show and they have really leveled up their routines! This is another class who have almost completed their first show number-a 90’s movie classic! They have had so much fun and the energy in the room is always so high! 

Senior street have been learning a set routine, some of them are competing for the first time in this genre which is so exciting for us as a school! We can’t wait to watch them shine on the floor in April! 

News

We have been kindly sponsored by Parker Baits, a fishing bait company based in Kent. This is through the connection of one of our dance parents and we couldn’t be more thrilled or grateful. They sponsored us some money to buy our amazing air tracks for Acro! 

They have really helped us to up our skill level in Acro which is a big goal of ours for 2025 and without this equipment it wouldn’t have been possible so thank you to all of the team at Parker Baits. If you or a family member/friend enjoys fishing please take a look at them for bait, so that we can support them in return! They are on all social media platforms. 

Our 2025 show has been announced! ‘HDH At The Movies’ Sunday 17th November, 1:30pm at Middleton Arena. We will announce when tickets go on sale, work is well under way for that! 

We have also launched our very own competition! “Live Your Dance Events”. 

Our very first event is on June 1st, so please look out for our updates and support us on socials. 

I think you will agree that we have had an amazing albeit busy start to the year, which we love. I am really looking forward to keeping you all updated with what’s been happening.
